who you are

As a driver at Albert Heijn, you will drive a delivery van independently to deliver groceries. That’s why you need to be able to lift crates weighing up to 15 kilos. You’ll make multiple stops a day, so getting in and out of the van often is no problem for you. You also meet the following requirements:

• You have a B driving license.
• You speak Dutch or English.
• You have your own transportation to get to Siegenstraat 7 in Zwolle.

what will you do

As a driver at Albert Heijn, you’ll start with three training trips. During these trips, you’ll learn how to use all the systems and will be ready to work independently afterward. Your buddy will teach you how to work efficiently, so you can deliver all groceries on time. Besides delivering groceries, you’ll also collect empty bottles and crates, which you’ll carefully reconcile on the invoice. You’ll handle these transactions using a payment terminal. While driving, you might face various challenges. For example, a flat with no elevator or a house number that’s hard to find. These challenges make your workday exciting and diverse. Ready for the next step? You can follow internal training to become a buddy or a senior courier (“plusser”).

• Flexible hours from 06:00–14:00 or 14:00–23:00. You’re available for both shifts.
• You can work part-time or full-time from Monday to Sunday, with at least two Saturdays per month.

where will you work

As a driver at Albert Heijn, you’ll always start your workday from the HSC in Zwolle. It’s easily accessible by car and is a modern facility. Before your shift, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a piece of fruit. During evening shifts, you can take a free meal, saving you time and money. After 13 weeks, you’ll receive your first salary increase as extra appreciation for your hard work. After all, you are the face of AH Online!
